What we store, and why.
This is a marketing site, not an ad network. We set no advertising cookies, we run no remarketing, and we sell nothing to anybody. Below is every single thing this site puts on your device — what it is, who sets it, and how long it lives.
Your choice
Analytics cookies are the only optional thing here, and they are off until you say otherwise. Change your answer whenever you like — this panel is one click from the footer of every page.
Analytics cookies: off — you haven’t chosen yet
Until you choose, Google Analytics runs without cookies and nothing is stored on this device.
What we set
Analytics — only after you accept
Set by Google Analytics 4 (property G-KBEKZPHZY2) on the ametriq.com domain. Neither exists until you press Accept.
_ga
2 years
Tells one browser from another, so a second visit isn’t counted as a second person.
_ga_KBEKZPHZY2
2 years
Keeps the state of your current session for this property — where you arrived from, which pages followed.
Necessary — set only by something you did
None of these exist when you land on the site. Each appears only once you approach a form or open live chat, and each is needed for that thing to work at all.
_GRECAPTCHA
About 6 months
Google reCAPTCHA’s check that a person, not a bot, is filling in the contact or partner application form. The reCAPTCHA script itself loads only when you scroll near a form or click into one.
cw_conversation
1 year
Chatwoot’s live-chat conversation. It keeps your messages attached to you, so an answer comes back to the right window. Created the first time you open the chat panel — never before.
Browser storage — not cookies
Two values Ametriq keeps in your own browser. No request ever carries them, so they are never sent to us or to anyone else, and they identify nothing about you.
amq-consent
12 months
Your answer on this page, so the bar stops asking. It holds the word “granted” or “denied” and the date you chose. After twelve months it lapses and we ask again.
amq-chatwoot-open
Until you close the tab
A timestamp meaning “the chat panel is open right now”, so an open conversation survives a hop to another page. It is deleted the moment you close the panel.
What rejecting actually does
We’d rather be precise than flattering about this. If you reject, Google Analytics stays loaded but runs in Google’s consent-mode state: it writes no cookie, reads no cookie, and cannot recognise you on a later visit. What it still sends is one anonymous, cookie-free signal that a page was viewed, which Google folds into a total. We see “412 people read the Ledger page this month”. We do not see you.
If you would rather Google received nothing at all, block googletagmanager.com in your browser or an extension. The site works normally without it — nothing on this page depends on analytics loading.
Who else is involved
Four outside services touch this site. Three of them only ever hear from you because you chose to do something.
Analytics counts page views once you accept. reCAPTCHA scores form submissions for spam. Both are Google products and follow the Google Privacy Policy.
Nothing is requested from Chatwoot until you click “Chat with us”. After that, what you type goes to Chatwoot Cloud and reaches us there. See the Chatwoot privacy policy.
The contact and partner application forms post to Formspree, which emails us and keeps a copy so a message can’t be lost. It sets no cookie on this site; it receives what you typed. See the Formspree privacy policy.
“Book a call” opens Calendly on their own domain, in a new tab. Nothing is set here; their cookies are their own. See the Calendly privacy notice.
Changing your mind
Use the panel at the top of this page — it takes effect immediately, on this page and every page after it. The “Cookies” link in the footer of every page brings you straight back here.
Clearing site data for ametriq.com in your browser also works: it removes every cookie above and forgets your answer, so the bar asks once more on your next visit. Deleting the _ga cookies alone stops Google Analytics from recognising the browser, but leaves your answer in place.
Questions
Ask us anything about what this site stores, or ask us to delete something. A person reads these.
